So much to say!
Things are moving fast for this year's A.C.T. crew! We have a lot in the works right now!
First off, A.C.T. for Ghana bracelets went on sale on Wednesday! Hot pink and neon green were the color choices for this year, and they have been selling fast! Bring in $2 to get yours! Secondly, there will be an advisory wars on Friday for the 8th graders. Get ready for an exciting game of "Duck, duck, goose!" Looking forward to seeing which advisory takes the wreath! Finally, next week, we will be voting on the designs for our t-shirts, cups, and notepads. Many great designs were turned in. It will be hard to decide!
In February, we have a lot of events to look forward to. On February 9th, there will be a fundraiser in the library to make Valentines. Show your love for Ghana by participating in this fun event! Thanks to Ms. Gammeri and Ms. Kopp for helping us with this event! On February 14th, we will have a Hats on Day. For just $1, you can wear your hat in school AND donate to a great cause. Finally, on February 29th, we are excited to announce our Leap for Ghana Benefit Concert. The 8th grade choirs will be performing at this event. Thanks to Ms. Lawless for lending her choirs and expertise to this great event!
In March, look forward to a visit from Deborah Ellis, author and activist, and a Leaders Day at the Illinois Holocaust Museum.
What a great year thus far! Looking forward to what we can cook up next!
