Thank you Congresswoman Schakowsky!
At 8:45 this morning, around 20 McCracken students and staff had the opportunity to meet with Congresswoman Schakowsky and ask her questions regarding children's rights and education around the world. The Congresswoman was extremely impressed with the work that we have done as a school to raise awareness about this issue. The students asked great questions and gave their opinions on tough issues affecting the country today. Look for upcoming video exerpts and pictures to get a taste for our conversation (thanks to Josh for taping and the Skokie Review for taking photos).

Representative Schakowsky's Visit
On May 17, 2011, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky will be coming to meet with the students and staff associated with A.C.T. We are looking forward to sharing what we are doing this year to help further children's rights around the world. We are also hoping that she will share some of the things the government is doing to help with this cause.
